I'm publishing this one a little early, as I inadvertently omitted Pride Week last month. In addition, we have an interesting month up ahead, with the Calgary Highland Games, the Take Back the Night March, the End of the World (again - look it up on YouTube if you want to know the rationale this time), and Calgary Pagan Pride Day (for those of us who have been Left Behind). 

Drought conditions, perhaps brought on by El Nino and climate change, have left the western provinces and Washington state in flames, filling the air with smoke, and turning the Sun and Moon red. Be careful out there, and pay special attention to your carbon footprint until the rains wash the smoke away.
