Festival Season
Happy July, all.
Festival season is upon us, with the Folk Festival, Fringe Festival, and Blues Festival coming up this month, as well as PanFest. Oh, yeah, and that cowboy thing. You never know where a pent or a Thor’s Hammer might turn up.
Calgary Pagan Pride Day is looking for an organizer, someone to take the ball and run with it. It may be getting too late this year to organize the full event but the “picnic in the park” model may still be do-able. Either contact Morgan at cppd@shaw.ca, or myself, if you’re actively interested. Congratulations to Vanessa Cardui, David Sharow, and Nicholas Stoll, a.k.a. “Heroincredible”, on their release of their first CD, Indelible, and to all the members of the pagan and sf fan communities that made it possible. Their hilarious song and video, “The Dragon-Slayer”, is bound to become an instant classic in filk circles! (“Filk”, from the people who know the pre-internet definition of “blog”!)
A fond farewell to Jessica C., who’s left Little India in Cowtown to move back to Montreal. Brightest blessings on your travels… perhaps I’ll see you at Gaia Gathering next May!
